YSU Notice On Distribution of Admission Letters For New Students, 2018/2019

The management Yobe State University (YSU) has announced the distribution of admission letters for newly admitted students of the university. All candidates who were offered Admission into the various undergraduate programmes of this University are hereby notified that the Distribution of Admission letters will commence on Tuesday 13th November, 2018.

Candidates should come along with the following;

YSU Notice On Distribution of Admission Letters For New Students, 2018/2019

i. Post UMTE/DE screening payment receipt or post UTME/De screening slip

ii. In the absence of this, candidates will be required to pay N2000 at the Bursary Department and bring evidence of payment for collection of the Admission letter.

In addition, candidates are to tender their original JAMB slip at the collection venue (School of Pre-Degree studies lecture Hall A.)

ABU School of Basic and Remedial Studies Admission List,2018/2019

ABU School of Basic and Remedial studies Admission List for the 2018/2019 academic session has been released. All candidates who applied for admission in the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) are to proceed to check their if they have been offered admission. See how to access the list of admitted candidates below;

Registration Procedure For New Students

Registration begins on 5th November, 2018 to 16th November, 2018.

Stage 1

All admitted students are expected to present their downloaded application forms/ examination cards for verification at the School gate.

Stage 2 

When verified, you are then to proceed to C15 for Bio Data Screening. At this point, you will be required to present the originals and atleast three (3) photocopies of the following:

  • Downloaded Application form.
  • Primary School Leaving Certificate
  • Local Government Indigene Certificate
  • O/Level Result(s)
  • Birth Certificate (Declaration of age is only accepted in the absence of birth certificate)

Stage 3

Proceed to Geography Laboratory for Academic Screening. You will be expected to present the original and endorsed copies of your documents. After screening you will be issued with an endorsed bank teller.

Stage 4

Proceed to the School Multimedia Centre and collect your Admission Letter.

Stage 5

You should then proceed to Zenith Bank Plc along Zaria Road, Funtua with your endorsed teller and pay the registration fees.

NOTE: Remedial: 70, 400.00 Naira

Basic (IJMB): 65, 200.00 Naira

Stage 6 

Return to Geography Laboratory and collect your school official receipt and then Proceed to the academic registration desk in the same venue to complete the Academic Registration. You are to submit a photocopy of your admission letter at this point and you will be given an SBRS Registration Number.

Stage 7 

Proceed to Security office, with two recent passport size photographs (in white background), for ID card processing.

Stage 8

Finally, proceed to the Student Affairs Unit for accommodation.

BUK Screening Exercise For New Students, 2018/2019 Has Commenced

This is to notify all students who were admitted by Bayero University Kano (BUK) that the screening exercise scheduled by the aforementioned institution to hold on 12th of November 2018 has commenced as at the said date. The exercise apparently was not hindered by the ongoing ASUU Strike and is currently on till December 7th.

It was observed that many students failed to turn up for the screening mainly because they thought the exercise would be hindered by the ongoing ASUU strike, but fortunately it wasn’t so. All newly admitted students who haven’t gone for their screening are hereby urged to make sure that they do so before the closing date which is December 7th 2018. 

BUK Screening Exercise For New Students, 2018/2019 Has Commenced

It is advisable to go with originals and photocopies of the below listed documents to the screening venue;

-Jamb admission letter

-BUK unofficial admission letter

-Jamb result slip

-Statement of result and online print out

-Primary school leaving cert/testimonial

-Date of birth cert or declaration of age

-Certificate of medical fitness

-Certificate of citizenship

-Two recent passports

NB: Screening for every student holds at their department. Wish you all successful screening exercise.
